About us Carole van Grondelle has 25 years experience in journalism and strategic communications. - Earned an MA (Hons) in History and post-graduate Diploma in Journalism.
- Worked as a journalist for five years, for The Press in Christchurch and The Dominion in Wellington, and was latterly a business reporter, specialising in property.
- Has worked since 1988 in senior roles in San Francisco, Melbourne and Wellington. Employers included a global PR agency, specialist media-relations agency, and a leading independent communications consulting firm. The California firm won five Public Relations Society of America awards for work that Carole substantially produced.
- Established LYRIC in 1997 out of a desire to balance work and family life.
- Published Angel of the Anzacs — The Life of Nola Luxford (Victoria University Press), which was among The Listener’s 5 Best Reviewed Books for 2001.
- Devotes currently all of her spare time to raising two great kids, Clare and Paul, with husband Chris, renovating a 1920s house in Mt Victoria, and serving as a Board Trustee of Clyde Quay School.
- Takes great pleasure in family and friends, and close proximity to the city, town belt and Wellington’s beautiful waterfront.
- Enjoys the wonderful variety of work that comes her way.
